Pasties of Penzance by 'Ansum Pastie Co.

Pasties are a meal onto themselves so best accompanied by brown ale, mead and the TikTok phenomenon that is the Wellington Sea Shanty Society. Multi Award-winning chef Adam Rickett will be popping up for 2 days only with his proper 'Ansom pasties that are taking Auckland by storm.

Since arriving from the UK 12 years ago, chef Adam Rickett has been at the helm of some of the top establishments in the country including Euro Bar and Restaurant, The Boat Shed on Waiheke Island and Matterhorn in Wellington. After a humble start working in pubs, Adam began his official chef training at the age of 17 in Cornwall, where his passion for food was really ignited. Since then he has lived and breathed the hospitality industry. It has been two decades of honing his craft, and food is still Adams number one driving force. The transition from restaurant kitchens to product development started during the first Level 4 lockdown via a zoom pub quiz with friends back in Cornwall and from there The Ansum Pasty Company was born. Not being able to find this British staple in Aotearoa, Adam took it upon himself and here we are!

Serving local brown Ales from Parrotdog, Garage Project and Kereru Brewing Adam’s pasties are hand-made with love, quality ingredients and shortcrust pastry.

The cereal bar Wellington has been waiting for has finally arrived! You know the names, now try the cereals - Cap 'n' Crunch, Lucky Charms and Chip's Ahoy. Do they really taste how you've always imagined? Every Saturday throughout August, Le Samourai in collaboration with US2U, will be serving up classic American cereals, Cereal Chillers, and cereal sundae bowls with ice cream from Carrello del Gelato and Zelati Gelato. It's cereal galore! Bring the whole family and try them all or choose your favourite and don't share at all!
