Natto Dalla Terra
Astoria was formerly the Midland Hotel. Built in 1915 by architect Henry Eli White as a five-floor building in the Spanish mission-style. The hotel was demolished in 1982 and the site was developed by Wellington City Council as Midland Park. Astoria was established in 1996 and is one of the oldest surviving hospitality establishments in the city. Nato Dalla Terra means "born of the earth". This dish represents the rebirth of the iconic Wellington restaurant, Astoria, whilst paying respect to its rich history.
