Kāpiti Coast Tasting Safari

Escape the city for an afternoon and join the finest flavour safari the Kāpiti Coast has to offer.

This adventure will see explorers visiting: Sunday Cantina, The Waterfront, Hola and Hey Coastie. Each safari stop will give you the chance to try a delicious small plate or canapés, and beverage (non-alcohol alternatives available) showcasing Kāpiti’s unique foodie offering.

The bus departs from The Arborist at 12pm sharp.

Doe On Dough

Dish Description: Awatoru venison two ways: spiced mince and seared served on flatbread. Topped with sumac onions, cherry tomatoes, feta, Noble Estate olive oil and Prana micro greens.

Venison is commonly known in the New Zealand culinary scene as a fine dining ingredient. Hey Coastie has taken inspiration from this delicious delicacy and added a street food element of flat bread to inspire thought and change on the way we perceive this ingredient.

The Sunflower

Koakoa Tīni Rēmana gin, suze, elderflower liqueur, Hey Coastie sunflower orgeat, lemon juice and absinthe. Accompanied by a pickled peach wrapped in Anzil prosciutto and mozzarella with Kāpiti Island honey drizzle and a bee pollen crumb.
