Kaibosh Food Rescue

Visa Wellington On a Plate is proud to support Kaibosh Food Rescue in linking the food industry with community groups that support people in need.

Every day, food businesses in our city end up with more food than they can sell. Kaibosh exists to make sure this fresh, healthy food isn’t thrown away – instead, they work with their team of volunteers to get it to people who are struggling to make ends meet. Since starting in 2008, Kaibosh has rescued and redistributed more than 2.8m kilograms of food throughout Wellington and the Hutt Valley.

By supporting Kaibosh, Visa WOAP! opens up a world of new food rescue enthusiasts who can donate food, funds and time towards Kaibosh's work. Where better to find people who love food and want to see it used well?

Part of our relationship with Kaibosh is getting behind their popular event ‘All Taste, No Waste’, where often unloved foods are turned into a one-of-a-kind feast. Not only is it a delicious meal, but it also shows diners what’s possible when it comes to getting the most out of their food.
