Visa Wellington On a Plate Ticket Ballot Terms and Conditions

The important fine print! You must read and accept these T&C’s to enter.

  1. Visa Wellington on a Plate (“Visa WOAP”), an event brought to you by the Wellington Culinary Events Trust (PO Box 25009, Featherston Street, Wellington, New Zealand 6146) and Wellington Regional Economic Development Agency (“WREDA”, PO Box 10 017, Wellington 6143, New Zealand) will be known as “The Promoter” within these terms and conditions.
  2. Ballot entries will open at 10am on 29 May 2019. To enter this ballot, you must submit your details on the appropriate ballot form on VisaWOAP.com by 11.59pm on 3 June 2019. The only way to enter this ballot is through the appropriate form. Entries submitted through other channels will not be accepted.
  3. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any entries which are not received for any reason, or for any subsequent error, technical malfunction, loss, omission, communications delay or failure.
  4. One entry per email address. Multiple entries will be removed from the ballot.
  5. Once entered into the ballot, entries cannot be changed or altered. If a ballot entrant is successfully drawn, they may not increase or change their ticket numbers or change tickets to another night.
  6. If drawn from the ballot, entrants will be given the opportunity to purchase tickets to their chosen event as part of Visa Wellington On a Plate. Successful ballot entrants will be contacted by Visa WOAP staff to buy their allocated number of tickets as selected on their ballot entry form.
  7. Successful ballot entries will be notified over email by Friday 7 June 2019 and are required to confirm receipt of the email. They may be contacted by phone if they do not confirm receipt of this email.
  8. Successful ballot entrants understand they must provide the full, legal name of all people who attend the event for security purposes.
  9. Entries will be selected through a random number generator process overseen by nominees from Wellington Regional Economic Development Agency, Wellington Culinary Events Trust and Avenues Event Management.
  10. The competition is not open to schools, clubs, or businesses – only individuals may enter.
  11. All entrants hereby undertake that nothing in their entry is offensive or illegal; has been copied from, infringes or breaches the rights (including, without limitation, any intellectual property rights) of any third party and all entry content is the original work of the entrant.
  12. Decisions as to whether an entrant breaches or infringes these Terms in any way shall be made at the sole discretion of the Promoter and disqualified.
  13. All expenses that arise in ballot entry, ticket purchasing or attending the event, such as transfers to and from, other meals and any other ancillary costs will be at the winner’s own expense.
  14. Staff of Wellington Culinary Events Trust and involved staff of the balloted events are not eligible to enter this ballot.
  15. Opportunities to purchase tickets and unique ticket codes are not exchangeable or redeemable for cash and must not be sold or bartered for once allocated.
  16. The Promoter and their associated agents act only as agents or resellers for other parties (suppliers) who provide the tickets. Third party conditions will apply.
  17. The Promoter and their agents are not responsible for any loss or damage whatsoever that is suffered (including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss) or for personal injury suffered or sustained during or associated with the event. Due diligence will be undertaken by the Promoter to ensure any possible risks are identified and mitigated. By entering the agreement you agree to indemnify Visa Wellington On a Plate and their agents in respect of any claim, accident, injury, damage or loss which may arise in connection with this promotion or any promotions.
  18. The successful ballot entries that are chosen are final and correspondence will not be entered into.
  19. The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify applicants that have acted dishonestly or where technical malfunctions have occurred.
  20. The Promoter reserves the right to vary these Terms or to modify, suspend, terminate or cancel the campaign at any time without notice, and for any reason.
  21. By entering the promotion, entrants accept the terms and conditions stated above.
